Understanding Cloud Computing: A Beginner's Guide

What is the cloud?

Simply it is a server accessed over the internet with a unique function.
Example: Photos taken can be stored on google drive and we can access them over the internet.

Public Cloud

Here all the computing resources are owned and operated by a provider and shared across multiple customers.
Example: AWS, GCP, Azure.

Private Cloud

Here all the computing resources are dedicated to and accessible by only a single customer.
Example: VMware, IBM.

Cloud Repatriation

It is moving from the public to the private cloud. Data is considered very confidential and needs protection because, in the public cloud, the provider always has control over the data if there is a leak of information it incurs a lot of loss to the company.

Which cloud to choose?

You can start with any public cloud available like AWS, GCP and Azure. But AWS is mostly widely used followed by Azure and GCP.

What is cloud computing?

Sharing of hardware and software resources virtually over a network.

Why cloud computing?

Well if you still wonder why let me explain this shortly and easily, suppose you run a company and provide services that require a server if you allocate 100gb ram but use only 50gb it results in wastage of ram and also scaling the server based on the number of users hitting your server becomes costly, suppose if there is more traffic you need to create a new server and direct people there and after that use, there is not that much traffic and single server is enough you cannot disclose your server. Here cloud computing plays a vital role in which delivery of IT resources over the Internet with pay-as-you-go pricing. Here there is no need to maintain physical data centers as this is costly. Cloud computing can be cost-effective for many organizations such as startups and also mid-scaled companies.

That is all for today. Happy cloud Learning :)
